Bringing Mowtown Back…

Duffy, “the welsh songbird” is going to be big this year. The first track from her new album is called “mercy” and is already number one in the itunes download chart. She’s got some other great tracks and I can’t wait to get a copy of the album. She performed “warwick avenue” on the Jools Holland BBC show and the hype surrounding her has been growing since.

The mowtown sound is definitely coming back, due mainly to the workings of Mr Mark Ronson. The success of Amy Winehouse showed record labels that a demand for this sort of music is very much alive.
